Raptors at Gudgenby are having a fine time of it at the moment, no doubt due
(in the case of the larger ones) to the enormous rabbit population in the
valley. Yesterday I saw numbers of WT eagles, (possibly) a Little eagle, Brown
falcons, Swamp harriers and Nankeen kestrels. I also found an interesting
'cache', in the form of an old gate post, partly hollow in the top, with a
number of rabbit heads and other rabbitty bits dropped inside. Pic attached,
plus one of a Swamp harrier harrying a WT in a silhouette which gives a nice
size comparison.
