Not a scaly-breasted lorikeet

Given that the only commomly-seen greenish parrot with an orange bill around here is the Superb Parrot, that should be your first  guess. Chatline has reported large numbers of them with young. So looks like a female SP to me, perhaps very young. That’s where I would start anyway.

That bird with the orange beak returned to the tree in our neighbour's front yard this morning … got a closer look.

Has the body and size of a King Parrot but not a skerrick of red on it.
