Also one juvenile at the Pinnacle NR Hawker this morning. Probably a bit younger than your bird, Margaret – quite heavily blotched rufous and brown, but, obligingly, with a clear yellow eye-ring. Was not being fed while I observed it though a male Speckled Warbler did his best to send it off. b

I saw what I believe was a juvenile fan-tailed cuckoo on the Western side of Callum Brae this morning.  Couldn’t get a decent pic, as he was there one second, gone the next.  This is almost exactly the same location where I saw a fan-tailed cuckoo some years ago.
