had a phone call at about 7pm today from my son, who's living in Jerrabomberra. He and his wife heard a loud bang on their window, and looked out to see a stunned rosella on the ground (it did recover and fly away), and a peregrine falcon sitting on top of a garden chair. The latter departed when they approached the window (and before he could grab a camera). Not really all that far from Long Gully Rd/Monaro Hwy intersection, where some of us sighted a peregrine just last week. sandra h |
