The weather forecast looks reasonable 34 and a little windy, so we will meet at Stromlo Forest Park (SFP) - car park behind the grandstand - for car pooling and departure to Warks Rd at 8am. Allow sufficient time to follow the new roads to that point: it appears that different roads are opening and closing from time to time - this is Canberra after all. It may be worth while checking out the dam at Uriarra Homestead on the way - discuss at SFP. We may go on to Moonlight Hollow Rd if time and enthusiasm permit. It will probably be a longer day so I suggest bring lunch and plenty of water. If a fire ban should be announced the event will not go ahead. One final thing: I will have a reasonable bottle of red in my car which will be awarded to the first person that is able to facilitate me seeing me a Cicadabird. Martin Butterfield |
