Good afternoon Pieter,

Thanks for the invitation to join in on your Plains-wanderer trip but unfortunately at that time I will be birding in India. Many years ago I banded (ringed) Plains-wanderers in southern NSW so I have actually seen the species well in the hand. Many people here in Canberra have been out with Phil Maher on his Plains-wanderer trips so I am not sure who would be available to join you. I suggest you send an email to the Canberra birds chatline to see who may be interested.

Regards,

Mark

Subject: Plains-wanderer companions sought

Hi,

We had short email contact nearly two years ago. Currently I'm travelling throughout Australia, and I visited New Zealand as well. I've seen around 550 birds species and 80 mammals species in five months!

I'm cureently looking forpeople to join me on a Plains-wanderer trip on either the 28th or 29th of Januari at Deniliquin with Pbil Maher. We would have the old price of 130 AUD when I should find at least two other birders to join me.

Care to join? Or do youknow of people who will possible want to join me? Carpooling ismaybe an option and I will sleep in my car. I have a tent which I barely use.

I will be on a five day field trip to Epping National Forest (Northern Hairy-nosed Wombat) starting tomorrow so I might answer quite late!

Hope to hear something soon,

Best regards,

Pieter de Groot Boersma
