Since my neighbour has refrained from feeding flocks/hordes of Currawongs, birds are returning to my garden. These include the usual suburban suspects but today a Koel, in good voice in a plumb tree in the same neighbour’s yard. Last year at the height of the feeding frenzy I counted 16 Currawongs in the same tree. Now I don’t care what anyone says, I would rather listen to Koels than Currawongs anyday. (or night)

Perhaps now we can have some Needletails over Hughes
