G'day John,
Yes, I have seen a Grey Wagtail in Australia, at the Barron River waterfall in
The Crater National Park (Mt Hypippimee - spelling?) via Atherton on the way to
the 2011 bird banding trip to Iron Range. As far as I can remember, I was the
only person who saw it. I did mention it to Keith Fisher at Kingfisher
Birdwatcher's Lodge, Julatten at the time but did not report it elsewhere. I
have previously seen the species in 8 other countries.
Cheers,
Mark

Ah, David and all, there certainly is a list, which is used by local Darwin
birders and visitors.
https://groups.yahoo.com/neo/groups/ntbirds/conversations/messages
It is probably the most vagrant-rich local email list in Oz... (unless there
is a local email list for Ashmore reef :)). Currently tracking a Grey Wagtail
which has set up camp at the CDU campus in town. Mark Clayton, do you have one
of those on your Oz list?
Cheers
John Rawsthorne

Hello David, so far as I know there is not such a list, but you can readily
find out about recent sightings there using eBird:
http://ebird.org/content/australia/ - go to Explore data.
Regards - David
