These - in plan – are the approximate positions of the 3 different perches on which I have seen the owl over the last few days. It is generally in the upper branches. The base of the arrow of relevant colour indicates the available viewing point. The white arrows are not mine and mean something else.

Subject: [canberrabirds] Powerful Owl - taking an interest in lawn bowls?
After Terry's report that the Powerful Owl was still there today, I decided to go for another look at lunchtime - hoping that the Owl might be sitting the other way around in order to get a better view of its front. No such luck, but its certainly still possible to get good views from just in front of the greenkeeper's shed. Periodically the Owl turns to look in the direction of the bowling greens - maybe its acquiring an interest in the sport?
