A while back someone emailed a link to a story about the new world record big day (354 species) in Peru. Thankyou!

 

That story included a wonderful link to an interview with Scott Robinson about his (and Ted Parker’s) big day of 331 species, also in Peru, in 1982.

The thing that really staggered me about Robinson and Parker’s big day was that they didn’t travel: they surveyed an area of approximately one square mile of rainforest.
