Persoonia linearis (Narrow-leafed Geebung) has been recorded as a food of the Gang-gang (at least one video and photograph labelled as such) but watching several at the ANGB last Friday it appeared as though they were after the juice and not the seed or the skin. One male and a female were observed with the fruit. The female took up to 6 minutes with a single fruit and seemed to mostly squeeze it while constantly licking. The male dealt with each fruit quickly, carefully biting around the middle of it  with his tongue on top of the fruit and then discarding it. Does anyone else have observations of the use of Persoonia linearis by Gang-gangs?
