Hi, Please do not look my misplaced camera hood anymore as our very helpful fellow birder Steve Wallace has found it and I managed to get it from him in a day's time since I lost it. Many thanks to Steve. What a lovely birding community in Canberra! I still went to Campbell Park again before picking up my camera hood. Nothing new list but I observed a male White-browed Woodswallow catching a hard shell grub (cicada's nymph?) on the ground. As the food was too hard and too big to swallow in one go, it tried to "hammer" it on the ground and then later put it on the log. After extracting some soft interior body part from the prey, it managed to finally swallow the remainder, including the shell. See the first 3 photos from the link where one shows the "hammering" the grub.
