I heard Fuscous Honeyeaters at the Orroral camping ground on a number of occasions. But I don’t remember what time of year it was. It may be worth a look when someone is out that way.

Where is a good place in the ACT to see a Fuscous Honeyeater? - around my garden in autumn and winter. But that is just my opinion based on because that is where I am. I think they are generally evenly spread around. Within suburban Canberra it is clearly more a matter of best time of year, rather than best place. Try winter time. Maybe you are making it hard for yourself by looking for one, rather than listening for groups of them. When in groups they are often noisy and easy to find. Though they are not especially visually obvious. Within the ACT, outside of Canberra and other than winter, the COG Atlas gives hints, (highest reporting rate in Naas valley) although things might have changed over the years since then.

Before Eremaea merged with eBird it was possible to get information on the best place/s to go and find a particular bird that you want to see. I don’t seem to be able to get that information from eBird, or Birdata or any other database. Is there a way of accessing this information.
And/or perhaps you can help me. Where is a good place in the ACT to see a Fuscous Honeyeater? They seem to be a bogey bird for me, as others seem to report them with regularity but I haven’t positively seen one for few years! I am either not seeing them or I’m dismissing them as something else. So I’d like to have a good look at them in the wild (so to speak) to help get my eye in.
