A fair question, the relevance of which would be raised by some additional information, such as: Do Pied Currawong (PC) have a foraging area centred around their nest? Is that area somewhat circular? If so what would be the radius of the circle? How would that foraging area be interrupted by other competing aggressive species, mainly Aust Ravens, Magpies and other PC?
 
Most small prey like insects is caught from fairly close to the nest tree but I have also seen PC fly in from a distance of maybe 100 metres to rob a nest and I suspect that was just a modest incursion and likely they would travel more than that.

there has been an enquiry from an ANU researcher wanting to know about Pied Currawong nests at the Bot Gardens. Has anyone mapped the nests?  His particular interest is predation on the fairy-wrens.
