Please join us at the exhibition opening at 5:30pm on Friday 24 October with Joseph Forshaw, conservationist and internationally recognised authority on parrots

“The idea behind these paintings is twofold. First, I like magpies for the beautifully efficient flyers and strong personalities that they are. Secondly, I like the way they pretty well ignore us humans and get on with magpie business under our noses.”

Frank Knight, well–known Australian wildlife artist, was the Divisional artist for CSIRO Wildlife Research for many years and has illustrated a number of natural history books, including several field guides.

Meet the artist: 2:00pm Sunday 2 November

• Gallery hours: 10:00am–4:00pm Tuesday–Sunday
