While doing Gungahlin Town centre survey with Angela Plant we found the remains of a waterbird between Kat Crace and Hinder and Flemington and Anthony Rolfe. Wings, one black foot seemed to be webbed and clumps of skin with black feathers with thin wiggly grey /silver markings like a musk duck., thick downy feather underneath.. maybe an immature. Foot size would make the bird the size of a coot or larger. I will try to get photos up later.
