Fairly distant photography.  The rusty colour on this individual is not only pronounced but remarkably even and widespread

Looks like I might have had my ID wrong and that it was two Sacred Kingfishers with one sporting a very bright plumage. Geoff Dabb corrected me and has a good photo so hopefully he will post it on the chatline.
