Yesterday in our vegie garden I was removing some kale which had 'bolted' - ie gone to flower - and the blossom was covered with bees, manly of the European variety. There hasn't been a great deal of insect activity on our recent plant walks possibly due to the flowering season being a tad late this year. However some Pomaderris and Craspedia we found in the Bullen Range last week had a very good supply of insects. There are a few insect snaps (flies rather than bees) towards the end of this blog post. Martin Martin Butterfield
