Rather surprised this afternoon to hear a tick-tick-ticking (or sounds to that effect!) and to see three birds alight temporarily high on a neighbour’s tree, then take off heading SW.

No binos and poor eyesight prevailed, but the jizz was distinctly YFHEs and the month is right for migration.  However, I think it is only the second or third time I have recorded them in my GBS precinct.  We are not on the migration corridor.
