The dam at Namadgi Visitors Centre this morning was carrying 2 Grey Teal, 2 Australasian Grebes and 2 domestic ducks (Mallard-like – dark-green head, yellow bill, chestnut breast strongly mottled with white, and a curled-up tail).  Twice from the reed-bed came a “kek-kek-kek-kek-kek” call, as I’ve also heard from Kellys Swamp recently.  Presumably this is a crake or rail?

And a female White-winged Triller just up the hill from the dam.
