Yesterday at about 9am my friend rescued a Boobook Owl from Currawongs attacking. Owl was on the ground in one of the internal courtyards at Old Parliament House. It had an injury on its face at the top of the beak. We took it to the RSPCA at around 10am and I'm told they treated and released it again that evening. Not sure if it was male or female, or approx age. RSPCA told me this morning that they didn't record those details. My first owl encounter in the ACT, what a close up! Cheers, Joanne
