Went this afternoon (15:10 to 18:00 h; sunset at 18:00 h) to the power line corridor at the western base of Mt Majura , mainly to see how many Noisy Friarbirds would pass through, a species currently not yet that common. There were already 3 birds/pairs holding/defending territories and a total of 39 birds passing through towards their roost.

Other species of interest:

At least 2 (by call) Rainbow-Bee-eaters passing to the S very high overhead (not seen, only heard);
in total 3 Olive-backed Orioles passing through in the same direction as the Noisy Friarbirds;
for most of the time small flocks of Yellow-faced Honeyeaters passed southward, the last birds very close to sunset.
