Last Thursday at Watson Primary a juvenile WW chough (half size, very young) got trapped in one of those cricket practice runs, with its family on the other side, at the end. The juvenile was fretting and would obviously not be able to get out, so I tried to catch it, unsuccessfully, the first go, then caught it the second time. The family freaked out, I rushed down to the open end, there were 3 'adults' surrounding me, so I couldnt keep my eyes on everyone, and one grabbed me on the head with very sharp claws, scratching me. damn, if I wasnt so bald.
I managed to release the baby outside the run and it headed off in the right direction, and I thought that would be it. But no such luck, 4 'adults' chased me and kept following and trying to attack me and bomb me for 50m, from all sides. I was quite tense by this time, so I ran out into the open oval, where they didnt have the cover of trees to attack from.

I have never heard of this before. It obviously makes sense though.
