This morning a pair of Southern Whiteface in Kinlyside on the ridgeline above
Casey. My first record of this species in Canberra for sometime. The birds were
foraging on the ground and on the limbs of a eucalypt among thornbills only
twenty metres from the new suburb.
Other highlights were a small group of Dusky Woodswallows passing overhead,
several Yellow-faced Honeyeaters and Brown-headed Honeyeaters and the return of
Gerygones and Friarbirds.
