Brown Goshawk – beetle-browed, rounded tail just discernible in 2nd photo, fairly solid legs.

I always have to defer to the experts on this one.  Both images linked below were of the same bird on the edge of a claypan east of Carnarvon, WA.  Any suggestions as to the ID of this bird welcome.
