Thanks Julie for the report. The only breeding record in the COG database for August is back in 1987 (also dependent young) so it would be good if you could  get it into the COG records.

Hi All,

 

I spent over an hour this afternoon watching a female musk duck feeding  her 3 chicks and doing a lap of Yerrabi Pond. The chicks were very small .... looked very young to me and were regularly riding on the mother's back.  

 

They stayed quite a way from the bank most of the time so photos aren't good, but at least you can see them all.
