A large flock (70+) of YTBCs just flew low over Uriarra Village from the East
on their way to the Brindabellas. They did this regularly until a month ago but
this is the first time they've been back since mid-July.
There were also two wedge tail eagles hovering next to the Cotter Road just
outside Canberra this afternoon.
Within the village there was a brown tree creeper on Saturday. It was on an old
oak tree. I watched it at close quarters for several minutes and I'm pretty
sure it was not a white throated tree creeper. On the same day there were red
rumped parrots, eastern rosellas, yellow rumped thornbills, scarlet robins,
blue wrens, crested pigeons, two White faced herons, two kookaburras and a
willie wagtail as well as the usual residents.
