Bassian Thrush nesting in botanic gardens

Could these be the progeny of two of the 3 Bassian Thrushes that Mary Cooper and I saw on 15 May in that same area?

 

Another less palatable thought,  could the large bird in the nest be a cuckoo?  (remembering the pallid cuckoo in the Regent Honeyeater’s nest in Watson).  Wrong timing?  Red herring?
