This week's walk, as previously advised, will be on Farrer Ridge. Meeting place (9am) is near the gate on Sulwood Drive, between the Sainsbury and Gaunson St roundabouts. There is plenty of room to park just off the road.  Be careful in peak hour traffic.

The weather forecast isn't great, and there are some very soggy patches along the route I'm intending, so you might need wet weather gear, and sturdy shoes are a must. Proposing to walk across to the track to summit, follow that to the top (quite a few steps), walk back through some bush and then open areas. This morning there were no robins around, but a large feeding flock beside the path to summit and at the top, also a grey currawong, lots of rosellas and other parrots along the way. SC cockatoos were inspecting hollows, and pardalotes were displaying with fanned tails and spread wings.  If weather is OK we'll stop for morning tea at the top, where views are spectacular.
