In today's Canberra Times Ian Warden describes himself as a
'ornithopsephologist': 'But what if, this columnist's inner
ornithopsephologist wonders,...'

The context is his advocacy for the Gang-gang survey. Given that a
psephologist is someone who studies 'elections and trends in voting', is
he perhaps extending the term to mean someone who counts birds? Or is he
perhaps focussing on the spatial distribution of people who count birds,
reminiscent of the way psephologists count the patterns of voting by
electorate?
