COG members or chat line subscribers may recall that at the September 2010 COG meeting George Olah, who had just commenced a Ph D at the ANU gave a short presentation on “An
introduction to the Tambopata Research Centre in SE Peru and its general work on Macaws etc.”

George’s Ph D work has been based on this Research Centre, and we’re looking forward to him telling us all about it in 2015.

In the meantime George has asked me to pass on some details of a current campaign at the centre for funding of professional editing of a repository of suitable full-HD footage to produce a 26-minute documentary of their macaw conservation research in the rainforest of Peru.

George has also provided further background/details in the attachment to this post.

If you interested in this work and supporting this campaign, please visit the site listed in this attachment http://igg.me/at/macawmovie (this contains a 3 minute video of the research), or contact the researchers at  .
