Well known feeding behaviour for this species Anne.  Sometimes a large group will engage in  it together.  Seems to help effectiveness of their skim-feeding

This morning there are 2 pink eared ducks on Lake Tuggeranong near the Scout Hall. I haven’t seen them  at this location before. For at least 20mins they swan around and around each other in a small circle. Would they just be feeding or is this a mating behaviour?
