A pair of Musk Lorikeets flew high over my (Kambah) house about mid day yesterday, heading east.

At least 8 birds here today around 1 pm. They are still in the big tree I mentioned before, but have also moved around the corner to feed on the flowering E cinerea along Webster Street before the corner with Groom Street.

As I was observing today 4 flew off south west (in the direction of Hughes Shops). The fact that they fly away from this site in different directions on different days might suggest that they are using several sites around about and moving between them (they might be same birds that have been seen in Wanniassa, which only about 10 minutes Lorikeet flight time away).

If people want to see them I'd suggest you have a reasonable chance on a fine day between noon and c 4pm. You'll easily hear them if they're there. The flowering looks as if it has some time to go.
