As I posted to Birdline ACT, 4 of us saw Mr. Bittern today at around 4pm.
Another accidental flush, he took off from the short reeds towards the
left-hand corner of the pond (facing the pond from the road), and settled in
the open for a minute, before flying off into the thicker reeds on the far
side. Awesome views!!
