Hello all,

Emailing to say that Rainbow Lorikeets are making significant inroads in to our suburbs.

So you need to lock up the Crimson and Eastern Rosella's : - P

Yes. That's right. They are taking over. Rainbow Lorikeets are here. And in force.

Expect to see much more of them.

As of now, I would say they are prevalent in Belconnen and now in Tuggeranong.

I'm in Tuggeranong for sightings purposes. I do not permanently live in Canberra.
None the less, on my most recent visit, I observed a large Rainbow Lorikeet presence in North Tuggeranong.

I also drove to Belconnen to get some chores out of the way, and heard those RL's cruising about. That was in the industrial area.
Must be that Kippax lot expanding...?

So anyway, back down to Tuggers. The RL's are on the loose. I expect after this breeding season, expect to see more of them.
