This morning I went over to Bungendore where the birding was pleasant but not that spectacular. The 300+ Sulphur-crested cockies above Darmody's feeding racks on Trucking Yard Lane made a nice display and seeing a few Shelduck below them was a bonus. The STW had a few Shoveler and Pink-eared ducks. Very little action along Lake Road.
This afternoon I went to Qbn STW where 4 Freckled Ducks on Pond 2 were good to see. ^ Pink-eared duck on Pond 2 and 1 on Pond 3, 2 Shovelers, and 2Hardhead also good in the waterfowl end of the list. A mixed flock of 10 Red-browed finches and 8 Double-barred Finches were the non-aquatic highlights.
