Not sure how unseasonable this is.

At Kelly’s swamp, a pair of purple swamp hens are feeding 3 dependent young that appear to be around a week old.  I can post photo later in the day.

I have attached a message sent to birding-aus recently.  Lynda has replied to a query from me that what they are particularly "referring to the unusually warm weather being experienced in the last month."  This probably means that waiting for records to uploaded to the COG DB will be too late for her purposes.

Probably the sort of sighting she'd be interested in is the flock of about 20 White-naped Honeyeaters - presumably migrating - which just disturbed me from digging in my new strawberry patch.  I rarely record these in my Carwoola GBS site and the latest Annual Bird Report shows the last GBS bird in 2013 was 7 May.

The Australian Bureau of Meteorology is interested in mapping the impact of the unseasonable weather we are currently experiencing on plants and animals. If you have observed something that you believe is uncommon for this time of year, e.g. migration or breeding records, I would be most interested in hearing from you.
