Hi all,

Last night we saw the movie "Healing" and loved it. It is an Australian movie starring Hugo Weaving and is set in Healesville Sanctuary. It tells the story of male prisoners who are being rehabilitated back into society. As they are being retrained, a project is given to them to make an enclosure for raptors for the Healesville Sanctuary. The birds involved (Wedge-tailed Eagles, several owls and other raptors) are magnificently photographed.

It is an excellent film, as the men being released back into society after the routine and confines of prison, are mirrored by the story of the injured birds being re-introduced to living independently in the wild again.

The men develop a real attachment to the birds, in particular the main prisoner, Don Hany and the Wedge-tail Eagle, "Yasmin".

Don't miss seeing this film..it is great!

Cheers,
