Well said Margaret and Charles.  I notice Birdlife Australia offers concessional membership to pension card holders.
Perhaps this is something the COG Committee could consider.

Hi Chris and COG members--

We don't agree that this "must be the best bargain in town" as both Friends of Grasslands and Australian Native Plant Society are heaps cheaper, don't have the financial reserves that COG has, and importantly, they have concession categories whereas COG offers none.
We would like to see COG offer concession rates for Pensioners as no doubt many are like us (we're both full-time Carers for my elderly parents) and want to remain members of as many of our local natural history groups as possible. If all were charging $40 we would have to rethink which groups we can retain our memberships with.
Thanks and we do love being members of COG, despite the fact that at present we cannot attend meetings, camp-outs etc because of our Caring roles.
cheers

Hi,

A reminder that Bruce Lindenmayer will be taking the COG annual subscriptions at the  meeting tonight.

At only $40.00 for individual membership this must be the best bargain in town, see membership form in the May newsletter.

Chris
