Nice set of photos. It is hard to work out the sequence but I think it is the top one giving the mouse to the bottom one. They are winter breeders, so you might have the start of the nesting there and an opportunity to follow it through. Interesting mention of a Currawong  bothering them at the nest. I have just followed through and got comments from Stephen Debus on Robin Hide's observations of something maybe similar on his Hobby on west slopes of Mt Ainslie.

Interesting display today as I guess it was the male who went and got a mouse called the female, and in mid air gave her the mouse  Few shots of the display on here  also gave the currawong  what for for trying to go near the nest which one of the birds where in today
