I went for a stroll down the road past Newline Paddocks towards the Quarry this morning and got a few interesting sightings.
  • A loose flock of at least 36 Crimson Rosella filling up a couple of dead trees about 200m down the road.
  • Past the cement recycling place Eastern Rosellas came into play, with approximately 20 being seen in various groups.
  • Red Wattlebirds were present in fair numbers towards the South end of the lane: my estimate was that at least 20 birds were moving through the canopy.
  • A (the?) sub-adult White-bellied Sea-Eagle patrolled past the final bend in the lane.
  • An Olive-backed Oriole was seen flying around, and doubtless wondering why it hadn't moved on away from the rather unpleasant weather.
