I have just stumbled across and watched the 2nd half of a documentary about the Philippine (Monkey eating) Eagle on SBS3 program "Global Village". Was interesting and showed some of the cultural importance of the species to local people and conservation efforts. I have never even seen film of the species before. I don't know if SBS repeats the program. The half that I saw was well done, apart from a small section that included film of a tame juvenile White-bellied Sea-Eagle, apparently not having noticed the difference. Still a much better effort than our own "Hello Birdy" Philip |
