Now that Honeyeater migration is in full swing it is time for a a gentle reminder to all Garden Bird Surveyors of the rules for counting birds.

The rule is:
  • record the maximum number of individuals occurring in the area at any one time within the week
So please don't report cumulative counts of migrating honeyeaters through your site, just the largest number in the site at the one time. Err on the conservative side.

Thank you all for your continued efforts.
