Is
certainly a southern whiteface. I wonder
how thoughts of a young yellow rumped
thornbill arise.
I
recall Dick Schodde giving a BOM talk to COG about these critters, years ago. He said the
southern whiteface is a BIG bird. Someone from the back of the hall said
something like I thought these are all little birds, an eagle is a a BIG bird.
Dick's reply was something like "yes for a little bird (or among
thornbills), the southern whiteface is a BIG bird."
Philip
First thought was a southern whiteface then I thought it may
be a young yellow rumped thornbill
Thanks in advance
