Bad News - The eastern dams are dry

Good News - There is a natural soak downhill from the dry dams that has a couple of centimetres of water lying on the ground in amongst thick reeds.

Bad News - A seriously injured roo was lying under a tree.

Good News - I managed to get the rangers to come and it will/has been put down.

Birds - only the regular stalwarts were seen, and far too many starlings.  If I try to catch starlings in my myna trap, what bait should I use?
