Swift Parrot in Cook

One lone Swift Parrot has been flying around Wybalena Grove for the last few days, calling occasionally and I only managed to get the binoculars on it today. The red on the throat and under the tail was quite pale suggesting it is an immature bird. There’s nothing much flowering but it seems to be feeding on lerps in the mature Red Box, which are also attracting many Noisy Miners and Red Wattlebirds.

Cheers
