Congratulations again Julie,
It looks like a Latham’s Snipe to me. There was one earlier in the season at Crace wetland.  The wader experts in COG may respond to you with more precise information.

Hi John,

I've just had another walk over to the Forde pond and spotted the attached bird for a brief period of time before it headed back into the reeds.

Would it be a Latham's Snipe?

I've checked both my field guides and it seems to match up, although the legs appear yellow on my bird..

Looking forward to slightly cooler weather in the next few days..
