This is to let you know that there are still 4 places available to make up a group of 16 for the outing to Guthega – staying in Kyilla Lodge.
Kyilla Lodge is in a lovely bushland setting above the Guthega Dam, with views of the mountains, bushland, and Alpine Heath. Our birding walks will generally be on bush tracks of 5 or 6 kilometres, but final planning will depend on group abilities. At this stage we are thinking of the shady round trip of “Waterfall Track” from Sawpit Creek , and “Illawong Walk” (5km return) among Alpine Heath and Snow Gums along the Snowy River. It is also worth taking your time on the trip into Guthega from the turn off as there are often animals and birds including Lyrebird, skipping along the road on the way up the mountain. More information will be given after numbers are finalised.
We need to have final acceptance from all participants by 24 September, and payment to be made via EFT by 31 January. A refund will only be given if a replacement person is found.
The cost of accommodation will be $60.00 if 16 people attend, and up to $80.00 if there are 12 people. We will notify the final cost when final acceptances have been received.
Park entry fees apply per car.
