About 2pm yesterday (Sunday) I was attracted to unusual bird noises in my back yard in Aranda. It turned out to be an Eastern Spinebill trying to stuff an insect with large wings that looked like a lacewing into a dy. The wings of the insect seemed to be 2 to 3 cm long. It took about eight attempts before it managed to stuff it in.
