Jean, Glad you found the Painted Snipe - he was getting harder to see as he went further into the old reed stumps when I left. I didn't realise that they had such long legs - only seen them squatting on the ground before. The Magpie Larks were on a second nesting in the nest on the log in front of the Bittern Hide.
